KARUIZAWA 1965 BOURBON
Japanese whiskey distillery Karuizawa – for the whole of its operating life, it is hardly known not only inside Japan but also international. Today, however, its whiskey is recognized globally as one of the best wines ever bottled and Karuizawa become the most sought-after brand in the growing whiskey investment market. Karuizawa bottles continue to break all records, typical for this whiskey line must include # Karuizawa_1965_Bourbon.
The Karuizawa distillery was established in 1955, as a result of the domestic economic recession that affected an industry with limited exports at that time, it only operated for 46 years before it closed. Since 2001, the number of whiskeys has always been limited in production and in the market.
This Karuizawa 1965 Bourbon is bottled from the only Bourbon cask #8636, distilled in December 1965 and bottled in January 2016 at 62.6%. And only 199 bottles are released worldwide, this is considered to be one of the most valuable and collectible whiskey in the market.
Karuizawa 1965 Bourbon has great depth and complexity. A combination of sunshine and darkness, evokes the aroma of ripe barley, followed by a strange sensation of pepper and rancio sherry (cherry in brandy). Next is the balance of the delicious oranges, purple lilac flowers, especially with both mango and pineapple. Aftertaste finishes long, smooth and classy.
The 50-year-old Karuizawa was beautifully designed by La Maison du Whiskey. The bottle is presented in a 700ml crystal bottle, exquisitely carved, stamps of bottles made from special paper and ink, beautifully packaged with a book, photos and others.
