Only 223 bottles of Dalmore Constellation 1973 were released globally, each bottle is bottled at a natural concentration of 48,1% ABV, with a volume of 700ml. Crafted in a hand-blown crystal, created by artisans of Baccarat, famous French crystal house. Each bottle is engraved with the year of distillation, age, number of barrels and decorated with a silver royal deer, a symbol of the Dalmore Distillery from 1867. This version is a truly remarkable craft work.
- Hand-distilled with unique flavor
Master blender Richard Paterson said: “As you would expect from The Dalmore, each unique barrel follows age-old handcrafting methods, slowly maturing in our dark warehouses, cooled by a the natural way by the humid sea breeze blowing in from the North Sea. Maturation is a completely natural process and we have sought to retain the purity, texture and appetite. A rare Sight Malt is crafted in this traditional way, sometimes forming a slight smoke. This is a perfectly natural thing and evidence of a fine expression that is refined and matured from the best of standards.”
The 1973 Dalmore Constellation spends its life in an old whisky barrel with natural intensity and elegant reddish-brown amber yellows that indulge in savorers. Fragrances of apple blossoms, wild fruit, blackcurrant, plum and crème brulee and what faintly faint the nose. Next comes the flavors of rich grape, citrus rind, juicy raisins and spicy macaroons along with the whispers of cranberries, succulent black cherries and Muscatel all make a sense 38-year-old drink is equally unique and luxurious.
