Gordon & Macphail’s ‘Generations’ series has released a Glenlivet 1940 has been bottled at 70 years old, making it the joint-oldest whisky ever released. Distilled at the height of the second world war in 1940.

Bottled into a hand-blown crystal decanter in the signature Generations tear drop shape and sealed with a sterling silver stopper, this is a stunning release. Reintroduced after 70 years in 2010 by Gordon & MacPhail directors Michael and David Urquhart, the cask was hand-selected by their own grandfather, John.

100 bottles was released worldwide. 45.9% abv, 70 cl
