Glen Grant was distilled on the 2nd November 1957 at Glen Grant distillery and was bottled for Gordon & MacPhail’s Private Collection series on the 14th January 2019.
The whisky has a rich aromas of fruit, woody spice, leather and salted caramel initially fill the nose, before hints of dark chocolate and subtle sherry develop. The palate offers notes of dried fruits, figs, warm spices and oak, developing into sweet fudge, fresh menthol, rich malt and bitter oak, before a long, nutty finish.
Yielded from single refill Sherry hogshead number 3911 at a natural cask strength 42.5% ABV, this exclusive release is one of only 87 bottles that comes housed in a stunningly crafted timber presentation case with COA.
