MACALLAN 2003 – 2017 EXCEPTIONAL SINGLE CASK NO.13
Macallan has launched its Exceptional Single Cask range – a series of 14 casks matured for between 12 and 22 years.The first 7 casks were available exclusively to the USA (750 ml) and Asia (700 ml). The remaining 7 casks will be released in key cities in Europe and the Middle East, as well as the Macallan Distillery. In order to complete the whole range with the same bottle size, the 700 ml sizes are even much more collectible than their big brothers in the USA.
This bottle was filled from cask number 13, limited to only 643 bottles from a European Oak Sherry Butt. Selected by Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno, this was the third cask to be reserved for the 2017 series on 24th July of the same year. This cask 13 was solely available in the United Kingdom. Get it before the Brexit occurs since after that event this bottle will be even more valuable!!!
The latest addition to the Scottish distiller’s Exceptional Single Cask range was distilled way back in 1950 and put into a first fill sherry butt. According to The Macallan, peach and vanilla flavours linger on the palate at first touch of the lips, complemented by some orange zest and ginger followed by antique oak and a hint of peat
