Cognac 1789 Courvoisier & Curlier
This is the world’s oldest known Courvoisier vintage. Courvoisier Curlier 1789 has been unveiled and showcased for the first time in the UK at L’Atelier de Courvoisier in the Harrods Wine Shop.
The historic cognac dates back to the French Revolution and was bottled over 200 years ago by the Curlier brothers, nephews of Felix Courvoisier. The precious liquid was produced from Folle Blanche grapes, a variety known for its subtle yet rich flavour. Most of us will never get to taste a spirit like this, which is so rare that even the House of Courvoisier does not have a remaining bottle.
Maxxium UK’s marketing controller for luxury brands, Chris Anderson says: “This unique opportunity to experience the oldest known Courvoisier vintage will be the highlight of the year for cognac aficionados, particularly collectors. This extremely rare bottle is testament to the rich and remarkable history of the house of Courvoisier and celebrates the unique craftsmanship and meticulous standards at the heart of all Courvoisier styles”.
