COGNAC 1789 JULES ROBIN
André Jules Robin was born in 1815 and in 1850 founded the renowned cognac house Jules Robin. On old Jules Robin labels, so the dates 1782 and 1783 are regularly named as the foundation date, also1845. However, 1850 was exactly the year when the brand was founded.
Jules Robin made the company big and well-known. By the end of the 19th century, it was the second-largest in size (after Hennessy). Robin was highly dependent on exports, including to Asia, as a result of which the company suffered heavily during the Second World War. In fact, they never recovered from this setback, which forced Hubert Germain-Robin to sell the company to Martell in 1964.
Cognac 1789 Jules Rubin is one of the typical “faces” of the brand. This is a liquid that has matured for over a hundred years in dark cellars, waiting until everything is in harmony, to produce a wonderful cognac. The bottle design is simple but still stands out with the red circle engraved with the year of distillation “1789” above and the label with a bunch of grapes, an iconic symbol of Cognac. And in fact, the products from Jules Robin always create the impression of their unique pictures on the bottle.
