The distillery produced three versions of the Black Bowmore for the first time, all of them were distilled in 1964 and matured in Oloroso sherry tanks before being bottled. The first 29-year-old bottled in 1993, followed by the 30-year-old bottled version in 1994, and finally the 31-year-old bottled version in 1995. Sherry casks are used more frequently in the 1960s than in current, and these versions are testament to the quality of these cases.
The second version of the legendary Black Bowmore – distilled in 1964, bottled in 1994 and matured in oloroso barrels for 30 years before being released to the world market. Only 2000 bottles were released globally, each bottled at a concentration of 50% ABV, with a volume of 700ml.
