BOWMORE 26 YEAR OLD
Bowmore’s legendary No. 1 cellar is home to the collectible whiskeys that include the Vintner’s Trilogy. This Bowmore spent 26 years in the barrels, this is considered the second limited edition in Vintner’s collection.
- Notable version with collectors.
The Bowmore 26 Year Old French Oak Barrique of the Vintner’s Trilogy is double matured with hints of oak spiced smoke and salty dark chocolate from the home of the world’s Oldest scotch maturation warehouse, the legendary No.1 Vaults.
The 26-year-old Bowmore is the second limited release of the Vintner’s Trilogy. The other two versions in this collection are the 18-year-old Bowmore and the 27-year-old Bowmore, both finished in different barrels. This 26-year-old expression begins to mature in old bourbon casks for 13 years, before being shipped to French oak barrels for the remaining 13 years. Go through 2 maturation processes, each for 13 years, to create a perfectly balanced liquid with tropical fruity aromas, oak smoke and luscious dark chocolate.
- Rich fragrance.
The first impression of 26-year-old Bowmore is the rich tropical fruit flavor followed by the taste of the gently smoky earth and sea salt. Having a little apple jam and custard-apple mixed together into one truly divine drink. The mouth feels soothing with oak notes, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, figs and raisins and chocolate. The end of that chain of flavors was a long-lasting spicy taste, something that felt like it was constantly burning.
