Bowmore 30 years old depicts the Celtic legend of the sea dragon ‘Kranna Dubh’ who once inhabited the depths of Loch Indaal, the sea loch over looked by Bowmore Distillery. It is said that Kranna Dubh once inhabited Loch Indaal, a sea Loch which is overlooked by the Bowmore distillery in Islay, and was slayed by a Scottish warrior who went by the name of Fingal. If you are to believe folklore then the Dragon’s dark blood can be seen reflecting atop the Loch on certain evenings- though the skeptic might just suggest it to be one of Islay’s resplendent sunsets.
Bowmore 30 years distilled since 1976, lying quietly in a dark cellar for thirty years, whiskey matures in old oak barrels and becomes rich in color, warm flavor and sophistication. Under the meticulous care of the specialists at the Bowmore winery carefully monitored its maturation and final bottling at the appropriate intensity. Released in 2006, limited to 1800 bottles, with an impressive score of 90/100 on WhiskeyFun. This Rare Limited Edition expression of Bowmore has been exclusively produced for the travel market. A beautiful bottle in cased in a black presentation box lined with red silky material. Each bottle is bottled at a concentration of 43% ABV, with a volume of 700ml.
