Bunnahabhain Elements 39 Year Old
This limited edition expression from Islay’s Bunnahabhain distillery is the first release in the Elements series.
Bunnahabhain was distilled in 1978 and matured for almost four decades in refill casks, this expression has been finished for 6 months in a Spanish sherry octave, personally selected by Master Blender Kirsty McCallum.
This extremely limited edition is presented in a beautifully crafted crystal decanter with a wave wave design embedded in the glass. Only 26 decanters have been produced at 43.2% abv
The nose is rich and fruity with figs, toffee, espresso, toasted oak and hints of roasted nuts. The palate brings a sweet dried Pedro Ximenez influence with more roasted nuts, toffee and dark chocolate, before a long and oaky finish with fruit and nut chocolate.
