DALMORE 35 YEARS
For those who love single malt whiskey in general and for Dalmore distillery in particular, 2016 is a special year marking 50 years of whiskey production by master bartender Richard Paterson, an important milestone is marked by the release some special editions of The Dalmore, including the Dalmore 35 years.
- A true work of art.
Dalmore 35 has been aged in three types of cask: a Matusalem sherry, a bourbon barrel and a colheita-port pipe. Presented in a decanter designed by artisans at renowned French crystal house Baccarat, the hand-blown decanters are adorned with The Dalmore’s iconic 12 point Royal Stag emblem created by Hamilton & Inches, initially granted as Royal Warrant Holders over 120 years ago.
Just 1,000 bottles of whisch were released each years for 5 years, bottled at 42% abv, volume of 700ml.
- Classic rich flavor.
The burning orange color of 35-year-old Dalmore is the result of meticulous distillation in three different casks. Their 35 year long sleep gives Dalmore a taste of excellence. Less sherried than you’d expect from this distillery, but very vibrant and lively. Lots of ethereal notes, rose petals and buttercups, alongside juicy mango, apricots and hints of bananas and pineapple. Hints of orange cake and almond pastry. Touches of candied ginger and clove after a while, as well as hints of roasted chestnuts and a little sweet coffee. Not at all winey, just a little weak. Finish: fairly long, on fruit tea, soft herbs, honey and gingerbread.
