DALMORE CONSTELLATION 1964
The Dalmore Constellation Collection brings together, for the first time, the complete spectrum of vintages created in Dalmore’s iconic Highland distillery between the years 1964 and 1992. The 21 single cask whiskies that make up this collection are truly a remarkable piece of craftsmanship. While each expression has their own inimitable style, together they are a captivating constellation of unsurpassed pleasure. The 1964 Dalmore constellation is the oldest version of the collection.

Only 67 bottles of Dalmore Constellation 1964 were released worldwide, each bottle is bottled at a natural concentration of 45.1% ABV, with a volume of 700ml and packaged in an exquisite crystal bottle. Each decanter will be adorned with a solid silver stag, a symbol that has made the name of The Dalmore throughout the distillery’s history.
This whisky 46 years has dark, shimmering chocolate mahogany colour màu gỗ gụ socola đen, brings a very sweet fragrance of honeyed pear, banana and passion fruit are replaced by aromas of orange peel, lavender, coumarin and patchouli, with hints of violets and myrtle. Rich taste of blood oranges, figs, fleshy peaches and roasted Colombian coffee, with notes of black forest fruits, crushed apples and spicy cinnamon; all create a subtle, lively 1964 Dalmore Constellation.
- “Barrels are king” is the principle of selecting wooden casks.
For the distillery, the strict policy of selecting wood to complete thousands of casks is in compliance with the principle: “Barrels are king” is particularly interesting. Because whiskeys matured in wooden casks over a long period of time will be one of the factors that determine a whiskey’s flavor and success. This view has been asserted by master blender Paterson: “Using the right barrel will rejuvenate whiskey.”
The 1964 Dalmore Constellation was distilled on April 29,1964, matured in cask no. 09 American white oak for 43 years then cask no. 693 2008 Matusalem Oloroso sherry butt for 3 years before being bottled in 2012.
