DALMORE CONSTELLATION 1979
Dalmore launched in 2012 the exclusive and ultra-limited Dalmore Constellation Collection, made of a set of 21 vintages of single casks, from 1964 to 1992. Apart from offering to the public what is supposed to be the best of the best from the distillery, the Constellation also brings to whisky lovers the possibility to travel through time to taste whiskies of various character, depending on the trend at the time they were distilled and the influence of the oak selected for aging. In this case, a sherry butt contained the whisky for 33 years prior to release, named Dalmore Constellation 1979.
- Limited production version
One of two classic 1979 releases in the Dalmore Constellation series, this 33-year-old version was distilled on February 14, 1979 in barrel 1093. And for its life, the 1979 Dalmore was brewed in an old sherry barrel, a type of European Oak, Quercus Robur Sherry Butt.
Only 295 bottles of Dalmore Constellation 1973 were released globally, each bottle is bottled at a natural concentration of 58,9% ABV, with a volume of 700ml. Crafted in a hand-blown crystal, created by artisans of Baccarat, famous French crystal house. Each bottle is engraved with the year of distillation, age, number of barrels and decorated with a silver royal deer, a symbol of the Dalmore Distillery from 1867.
- Rich taste
The 1979 Dalmore Constellation spends his life in old casks with natural boldness and elegant amber yellows that indulge savorers. The aroma of espresso giving way to dark fruit, sweet black jam, marmalade, and rich sultanas is what faints at the top of the nose. Next comes flavors of baked pistachio, ginger syrup, Seville cake and orange, brewed with vanilla, bitter chocolate, pecan pie and licorice lingering in the palate. Ending the aftertaste chain is tasting toffee, Demerara sugar and caramel pineapple. All create a unique 33-year-old drink that is equally sophisticated and luxurious.
