DALMORE CONSTELLATION 1980 CASK 2140
Single malt whiskeys are a truly remarkable work of art. Each expression glows in its own natural luster to create a kaleidoscope of color in the collection. The Dalmore Constellation Collection the first time brings together a wide range of natural spirits created in the iconic Highland distillery from 1964 to 1992. This is considered a rich whiskey spent a lifetime sifting in the best barrels from all over the world. The 1980 Dalmore Constellation is one of the most notable revisions in this legendary collection.
- Limited production version
One of two classic 1980 releases in the Dalmore Constellation series, this 31-year-old version was distilled on March 14, 1980 in barrel 2140. And for its life, the 1980 Dalmore was brewed for 31 years in Sherry Apostoles sherry butt and becomes a unique version of single malt from the Scottish highland distillery.
Only 227 bottles of Dalmore Constellation 1980 were released globally in 2012, each bottle is bottled at a natural concentration of 52,1% ABV, with a volume of 700ml. Crafted in a hand-blown crystal, created by artisans of Baccarat, famous French crystal house. Each bottle is engraved with the year of distillation, age, number of barrels and decorated with a silver royal deer, a symbol of the Dalmore Distillery from 1867.
- Complex taste
For the Dalmore distillery, each unique barrel follows age-old hand-crafting methods, slowly maturing in dark warehouses naturally cooled by moist sea breezes blowing in from the North Sea. Maturation is a completely natural process and retains purity, texture and appetite. The distillery has adopted a traditional distillation process and the end result is a whiskey rich in flavor and aroma, distilled and matured to the best standards.
The 1980 Dalmore Constellation is full and rich on the nose with a whole range of fruits. Think mandarin, lime, grapefruit, but also raisins and dades. It can be said that simple words are not enough to describe the complexity of the aroma of this whiskey. The taste of caresses tastes like silk. The rich sweetness of banana, caramel orange, Sirop de Liège and macaroons mingle with a hint of ginger and cloves to add complexity and sophistication to every drop. Ending the chain of flavors is the wine that lingers on each of the wonderful senses and is indescribably long.
