GLENFARCLAS 50 YEARS
Glenfarclas 50 Year Old is the third release in the distillery’s Family series. It honours George Grant (1874-1949). One of a few distilleries that have stocks from the 1960s, this was bottled in 2015 from ex-oloroso-sherry casks. Limited to 937 bottles, this has notes of crème caramel, butterscotch, treacle toffee, chocolate ice-cream and sherry soaked raisins.
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Full rich dark gold.
Nose: Full complex aromas with fruit and full sherried malty tones.
Flavour: With Sherry, cognac, brandy, fruit, nuts, marzipan (and even icing)
Finish: The finish is exquisite with a real taste of burnt chocolate at the back of your mouth.
