GLENFARCLAS 1954 (60 YEARS)
The Glenfarclas distillery is located on the Recherlich Farm, Ballindalloch at the center Speyside. The distillery was purchased by the Grant Family in 1865 and still has managed by six generations of Grant family until to this present time. Glenfarclas is one of the few remain distilleries in Scotland which is owner’s capital owned and independent management
At firstly, The Grant Family produced the 60-year-old single malt whiskey which was brewed in the No.1672 sherry barrel, in 2014. The Glenfarclas (60-year-old) was bottled at 43.3% concentration, 700ml capacity. It is produced just only 360 bottles in the worldwide.
According to Mr. George Grant, Glenfarclas Sales Director, who is the 6th generation of Grant family, the whisky has dark mahogany color, the various aroma in dry fruits, brown sugar and especially with the tannins from oak wood, which is the most expected from the long-term brewed whiskey. The warn flavor of bitter coffee and espresso coffee in the palace. With the long final taste that which made surprised although past 20 minutes, you can still feeling the delicate taste of this rare whisky.
The Glenfarclas (60-year-old) was contained in the hand-carved crystal bottle. All of them were displayed in the hexagonal box which is special design. Each side of the box represented for a generation of the Grant family.
This is the excellent whiskey that marked the development for the Grant Family.
