Glenfarclas Single Cask One of One 1965
Filled from Cask No. 4509 from 1965, this unique 55 year old single cask whisky bottled at 50.2% abv comes in a rosewood box with a pair of bespoke crystal tumblers
“It is a great pleasure for me to offer this truly unique and exceptional bottle for this worthy cause.” – JLS Grant.
This truly exceptional bottle is a unique proposition from Glenfarclas. The Sherry Butt was filled on the 29th of September 1965, and the whisky drawn from the cask on the 17th of June this year. Still at a healthy 50.2 ABV alcohol by volume, this whisky is a wonderful example of the best that Glenfarclas has to offer – a rich and powerful sherry style full of toffee and spice. It comes presented in a beautiful engraved decanter in a rosewood box with 2 bespoke crystal tumblers, all from Glencairn. With no immediate plans to bottle this cask, this is a unique chance to own a whisky of this age, while doing something for a special cause.
In 1865, Glenfarclas distillery, nestled in the heart of Speyside, was purchased by a cattle breeder by the name of John Grant. Today, the Glenfarclas spirit still lives strong and continues in family ownership under the direction of the 5th generation, John LS Grant.
