Introducing the Glenglassaugh Coalescence of the Coast 55 Year Old – a truly exceptional whisky that embodies coastal history. Master Blender Rachel Barrie has artfully combined rare casks from 1963, 1965, and 1967. Bottled at 40.8% abv, this fifty-five-year-old masterpiece offers complexity and balance in every sip. The whisky is housed in a custom-made crystal decanter by Glencairn Crystal, enclosed in a beautifully carved wooden box. Adorned with serpentine marble from the North Sea coast, it pays homage to Sandend Bay’s coastal charm.
Master Blender, Glenglassaugh said: “This bespoke bottle of Glenglassaugh 55 years old is the only one in existence in the world, uniquely crafted for the Distillers One of One auction. The elixir within is an assemblage of three rare casks filled in 1963, 1965 and 1967, the precise composition of which captures Glenglassaugh at its quintessential peak, with seductive cassis, sublime mandarin peel and soft aromatic sherry in a caress of silken oak. One sip seduces the senses with mesmerising waves of luscious black cherry, ripe mango and tropical flora carried on an endless ocean breeze.”
