HENNESSY PARTICULIERE
Hennessy released 29 bottles of Edition Particuliere globally in October 2014. Each bottle is made of pure Baccarat crystal with a special seal handcrafted by the skilled artisans at Maison Guerlain and presented in a precious coffret hand made by a leather artisan.
- The historic blend of the distillery.
This rare blend combines carefully selected eaux-de-vie over 100 year old that are kept in tiercon French oak barrels. Only a few barrels of these rare eaux-de-vie remain from the pre-phylloxera era, representing the heart and soul of Edition Particuliere, one of the rarest Cognacs that Hennessy has ever produced.
Hennessy has a rich history of creating intriguing, elegant and historical blends. Alfred Fillioux—great grandfather of Hennessy’s seventh-generation current Master Blender Mr. Yann Fillioux—was the first to create this extraordinary blend. In 2014 we took the unprecedented decision to release just 29 carafes of this invaluable blend.
“It is truly an extraordinary moment to witness the birth of such a release,” says Yann Fillioux. “ We are very proud of the route we have taken, and indeed of the legacy that Hennessy will leave.”
This is a Cognac of remarkable structure and great expressiveness. Depth and concentration are brought by eaux-de-vie matured for around a hundred years, slowly benefiting from the atmosphere of the cellars in which they have been raised.
- Fresh and high taste.
The unusual profile of this blend reveals a highly distinctive nose of subtle spices, with aromas reminiscent of clove and Szechuan pepper. The extraordinary structure of the palate serves to highlight this Cognac’s great persistence, characterized by notes of dried fruits and fruit preserves, apricot and prune. On the finish, this tremendous length is balanced by notes of finely seasoned wood, suggestive of fresh, high quality leather.
