KARUIZAWA 1965 (50 YEARS)
- One of the oldest unique versions
This 50-year-old bottle of Karuizawa has set a record for Japan’s most expensive single malt whiskey, priced at around £300,000 up to date.
The Whiskeyfun site recently provided some notes on tasting this particular Karuizawa bottle and gave it a score of 94/100, an almost absolute high score for the perfect taste of the wine. Of course, this comes from the legendary Karuizawa distillery, which partly matches the reason why its taste is so perfect. One of two bottles was donated to the auction by The Whiskey Exchange itself that year.
- Limited edition, very difficult for anyone to own for their own
Karuizawa 1965 50 years is an extremely rare whiskey bottle, limited to two bottles produced worldwide.
Karuizawa 50 years bottled at 65.2% ABV, capacity 500ml and is presented in luxurious embossed glass box. This is a Japanese whiskey that is appreciated worldwide.
- The taste is on pair with the best Bowmore flavor
Sukhinder Singh, director of The Whiskey Exchange, said: “This is the best Karuizawa I’ve ever tried and may be one of the best whiskeys I’ve ever tasted in my life. The taste is really great. It’s definitely on pair with the best Bowmore flavor I’ve ever tasted since the 1960s. ”
