LAPHROAIG 1960 (40 YEARS OLD)

Laphroaig 1960 was distilled from carefully selected malt and it was used soft peat of Kilbride Dam and peat of Glenmachrie Moss. Laphroaig 1960 was distilled in 1960 at Laphroaig Distillery Warehouse # 1. This is one of the oldest distillery in Scotland, which built on ash and cool and damp room, temperatures are the ideal environment to create the perfect quality of this whisky.

Laphroaig was bottled in May 2001 after 40 years of age and it only was issued 300 bottles at a concentration of 42.4%, each of bottle was certified by the distillery manage – Mr. Iain Henderson.

The distillery is located on Loch Laphroaig Lake on the south coast of Islay, it was built in 1815 by Donald and Alex Johnson. After Donald died, the distillery was sold to Mrs. Bessie Williamson, the only woman in Scotland who owned a distillery. Malt in the Laphroaig distillery is one of the top 10 in the world single malt market.

This is the most rare version was released from the Laphroaig distillery, which many collectors are looking for.
