The Lero Cognac House (Lheraud) was founded by Alexander Lero at the end of the seventeenth century. He began growing grapes and producing cognac in the province of Petite Champagne, in a village near the town of Cognac. On his estate, Lero was engaged in the cultivation of grape varieties Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard. In 1970, the production was headed by Guy Lheraud, who established the production of cognacs under the Cognac Guy Lheraud brand. Also involved in the production are the wife of Mr. Lero and the son of Laurent. Madame Leroy is responsible for the design of the company’s products.
Lheraud Cognac 1802 Fins Bois is an old cognac with a two- century history, bottled in 2005 with the spirits discovered the same year dating back to 1802. The Lhéraud Domaine has officially confirmed that these spirits were hidden during the Napoleonian war of 1812 and then, our days, found intact in a barrel during estate’ renovation works.
