Macallan 1861 has 42.7% concentration and 70 cl volume. This is one of the bottles in Macallan’s Replica series.

Macallan 1861 was bottled from the whisky cask that had been distilled in 1861. It was contained into the sherry box which selected from Jerez in Spain. Macallan 1861 was used the rare grape variety of Golden Miniserel, which was a rare natural grape that determines the charm of whisky, but it was difficult to grow and expensive to use in many distillery. The water used to produce whisky was also derived from natural and tasteless water. All of them were combined to create a rich and distinctive flavor of this particular malt whisky.

Macallan 1861 is a beautiful dark amber. Fragrance is a wonderful blend of citrus fruit, dried fruit, a little caramel and wood, fragrance of flowers gentle, seductive. In the vault of the mouth is a bit spicy taste, a little lemon fragrant, resin, smoke and caramel. Finally with the spicy long lasting and slightly sweet taste of malt and wood.
