0096. MACALLAN EXCEPTIONAL NO.03 2003 (14 YEARS)
MACALLAN 2003 – 2017 EXCEPTIONAL SINGLE CASK NO.3
Only 612 bottles of this limited market release are currently available. Once they are gone, this distinctive class of Macallan’s Single Cask Whisky will be gone forever.
While Macallan’s other whisky productions are well refined and certainly enjoyable, whisky aficionados the world over prize the 2017/ESB-8841/03 batch over all others.
This particular series from Macallan was created in the 1990s and distilled on August 6, 2003. Now, 24 years after it was first created, it was bottled after a long maturation in a single European Oak Sherry Butt that collectors refer to as simply 2017/ESB-8841/03. Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno selected this as the third cask for reservation for the 2017 series release on June 2, 2003.
European auction sites sell Macallan Single Cask Whisky 2017/ESB-8841/03 for upwards of $4,000. Beverly Hills Liquor & Wine sometimes has this stunning collector’s edition of arguably the world’s best whisky. Those that consider themselves connoisseurs of fine whisky and spirits shouldn’t miss the chance to own a bottle of this prestigious reserve. It is the pinnacle of perfection, in a class head and shoulders above the rest.
And while Macallan’s Single Cask Whisky 2017/ESB-8841/03 is without a doubt excellent to drink, it also creates a brilliant investment opportunity. It never decreases in value. In fact, it only becomes more expensive as time marches on. Grow your whisky collection with one of the 612 limited-production bottles of this stuff and you’ll find that as it ages further over time, the value increases too.
