The Red Collection is a series of rare and special single malt Scotch whiskeys, founded by Alexander Reid who is a key figure in The Macallan’s history who laid the foundations for The Macallan’s single malt. nowadays.
Distilled decades ago, housed in the cellar of The Macallan, each version of the collection has been matured in the distillery’s oak barrels under supervision over generations. During 6 decades of sleep, carefully selected woods create the unique character of whiskey, delivering the natural color, distinctive aroma and full flavor of single malt.
Released in 2020 & limited edition of just 40 bottles of Macallan 60 years released worldwide. Each bottle is bottled at a concentration of 43,4% ABV, with a volume of 700ml. This will definitely be a big challenge for collectors, investors, or consumers who want to own their own.

Each bottle 60 years in The Red Collection is encased in a hand-crafted oak presentation box created from the same sustainable European oak used to craft The Macallan’s oak casks. These boxes are beautifully upholstered with sustainably sourced soft red leather from Scottish supplier Bridge of Weir Leather, which creates upholstery for leading luxury car brands across the globe.
Macallan 60 years old contains notes of delicate spices and is reminiscent of classic oak, sweet fruity notes on the nose with peaches, pineapples, figs and dates. In the palate the taste comes back more prominent after long storage and comes with a great taste with a combination of dried fruit, mango, papaya, marmalade, sweet vanilla, raisin and taller. The highlight that ends the chain of flavors is the 60-year-old Macallan that lingers in the mouth for a long time, leaving a rich fruity note.
